10000 non Jacobites joined Syriac Orthodox Church in Brazil

The Syriac Orthodox Church has about 100 000 new members in Brazil. It's about Portuguese people who were previously Catholics and Anglicans, who found his spiritual home in the Syriac Orthodox Church. After His Holiness Patriarch Zakka Iwas an approval and blessing has 2 bishops, 80 priests and more than 100,000 believers taken up in the Syriac Orthodox Church Community. The actual recording took place for over 2 years ago during a meeting of the Patriarchate, and since then has worked for the Church's development in Brazil. The two Syrian Orthodox bishops called Jolino Gomes Neto (Archbishop) and Jose Faustino Filho, who is under His Holiness Patriarch Zakka 1 Iwas of Antioch and the Apostolic See. This week they met with His Holiness Patriarch in St. Afrems monastery in Saydnaya outside Damascus to discuss the church continued in Brazil and other practical matters. Present at the meeting was also His Grace Mor Silvanus Peter Al-Nehm, bishop of Homs and Hama, and His Grace Mor Philoxenus Mattias Nayis, patriarchal and assistant rector of St. Afrems seminay. During this visit, dressed in even Father Flavio Tadeusz it holy the Cross of His Holiness Patriarch Zakka Iwas one. Sabha Vartha Team sends their congratulations to His Holiness the Patriarch and all the Syriac Orthodox Church, and also to our new brothers and sisters in Brazil.
